Who we are

A quiet, trusted presence in the workplaces of the West Midlands.

WorkCare West Midlands (Registered Charity 1208119) provides workplace chaplaincy across Birmingham and the surrounding region. Our chaplains are trained volunteers who visit workplaces on a regular rhythm - building relationships of trust with everyone, regardless of role, background or belief.

Our mission

To show Christian care to all people at work - as listeners, friends, promoters of wellbeing, and respecters of every person's faith and dignity.

Our vision

A trained, trusted chaplain within reach of every workplace in the West Midlands - big vision, taken in small steps.

Where we go

The workplaces we walk into.

From warehouses and post offices to catering kitchens and high streets - our chaplains meet people in the ordinary places where they spend their working week.

How chaplaincy works

  1. 1

A regular visit. Chaplains show up predictably - weekly, fortnightly or monthly - so people can trust the rhythm.

  2. 2

A listening ear. Conversations are confidential and unhurried. Work stress, bereavement, family, faith - nothing is off-limits and nothing is required.

  3. 3

A wider network. When something bigger comes up, chaplains can connect people to further support - pastoral, practical or professional.
